PhD Summer School Growing Diversity as a Societal Challenge
What challenges do researchers engaged in the field of “diversity” face? Which range of methods, tools and skills are needed to interpret the growing complexity in contemporary societies? How can social research enrich public debate? Which role can the study of diversity fulfill today?
The PhD Summer School Growing Diversity as a Societal Challenge is suited for Phd Students who are engaged with the analysis of social changes and growing diversity in contemporary multicultural societies. The School aims to encourage a new generation of researchers to discuss different topics from an interdisciplinary perspective exploring the connection among multiple approaches, research methods and the relationship between academic and non academic debate. The programme includes lectures from experts, group work and PhD students’ presentations. Plenary sessions and discussions will be key-elements of the school.
The first edition will take place in Rimini from the 19th until the 23th of September2016.
